Nature's Loving Touch

I choose LOVE

There are a lot of bad people in this world. We see it everyday on TV, in our children's schools, comments heard from strangers in a crowd. It is so easy to get wrapped up in all the bad and think that is all there is, and hate the people for their bad doings. I truly believe focusing on the hate only brings more hate. People who are angry, mean, evil, hurtful, have reasons why they are that way. We will never understand these reasons for all the hate and anger nor should we give it energy. The more thought we give anger and hate the more it grows. The best way to help with hate is to want the people who are filled with it to learn love instead. This can be done by putting out this energy to the universe. Praying for someone to learn love, and asking in your thoughts or out loud to bring this person or people more love. You don't have to be religious to do this, you just have to believe that the energy of love is stronger than hate.

I focus on all the good that is in this world, and if you start to look for it, you will find so much. You maybe surprised at what wonderful discoveries you have when you are focused on love. I no longer watch The news because so much of it focuses on the bad. I still stay informed. I read articles about things that interest me, and that help me to be a better person. Recently I have really noticed that there is a lot of love and support on Facebook. People helping people through really tough life situations. I love how you can create a fund for people in need, and with the help of social media can make big differences in people's lives. Everything can be used for good and bad, and social media has proven that. Once your heart is in the right place you won't focus on the negative anymore. You will always see the good in the situation.

In every situation when you look at it from a position of love, it will always feel better, look better, and get better.

Much Love!!

Proper Shipping of Tea Cups & Saucers

This may seem like an off the wall blog post, but right now this is consuming my life. There are lots of wrong ways to ship tea cups (or anything that is ceramic, porcelain, bone china, glass), and there is one really good way that will help guarantee safe delivery.
I love tea cups, love, love, love them! I have been making tea cup candles and selling them in my etsy shop, giving away to friends, selling at craft shows, and everyone loves them. They are the perfect gift. You get a great candle and then when that is gone, you get a beautiful vintage tea cup. It's a Win/Win situation. I always use soy wax and all natural fragrance to make sure there is no harm done to the tea cup.
Recently I have been buying a lot of beautiful tea cups on Ebay, with plans to make tea cup candles to sell. You would be amazed on some of the gorgeous and unique vintage tea cups out there. On two instances when I bought tea cups from wonderful vendors (I have dealt with some great people) and they arrived broken. This is very sad. These are some one of a kind tea cups, and now they are wasted (well maybe not completely, you can do some cool art with the pieces). Because of these sad little tragedy's I feel the need to share a good way to ship tea cups, and even glass items that will help guarantee their safe delivery (Nothing is 100% safe, but this way seems to work over and over).

       What not to use/do:

  • Newspaper - This will fail almost every time. It just does not protect enough with all the movement the box will be put through. Not enough cushion. Great for personal storage of items put not delivery of the items.
  • Big Chunks of Styrofoam- They are two stiff and probably do more bad then good.
  • Cheap flimsy bubble wrap. I have seen some that come in the color pink, and it does not serve enough protection and cushion
  • Unfortunately writing 'Fragile' on the box is not a good idea. I don't know why, but people seem to do the opposite, and it gets tossed around more.

What to use: Two Very Simple Items:

  • Good quality thick bubble wrap. Wrap each piece individually. Wrap the saucer in two pieces, and the same for the tea cup. Make sure that it is tight and very securely taped on.
  • Styrofoam Peanuts. I know a lot of places don't recycle Styrofoam, but these little guy's are life savers. Make sure you use the peanut size Styrofoam. They come in different colors and the textures are a little different but they should all look like peanuts.  Make sure the box is full of them, so that when you tape the box you are sending the tea cup in the peanuts are on the very top. You don't want any extra movement.

Two simple products that really work! Every time I ship out a tea cup candle this is what I use. Every time someone ships me a tea cup this way, I smile!

Much Love!

Don't let anyone define who you are!

Today has been a really great day for me so far! As I start cleaning my stove top, and feeling good about using all natural cleaning remedies, I think about what I'm wearing and just smile. I'm cleaning and thinking I don't fit in any category, and I love it. Let me explain what I am wearing. I got my hair done today and did some clothes shopping and found a cute and cheap Detroit Tigers t-shirt. So I have that shirt on over my super comfy black leggings. I wore my Harley Davidson motorcycle boots today to go get my hair done, and I still have them on, mostly because they are kick ass and super comfy. Then on top of all that I have my super girly apron that looks like a 50's dress with polka dots and flowers. This is my favorite thing to wear when I make my all natural skin products. I made some great baby products today, because I'm getting ready for a Mom to Mom sale. I am a combination of all sorts of styles. Sporty, comfy, trendy, rebel, kick ass (my favorite style), girly, and homemaker. What a great combination, and these are all me. I don't fit in any category. I love sports, I get into a game, I yell at the TV, especially when it is the Detroit Tigers. I also love being comfortable, all ways important to me especially on the weekend. Dressing up is fun for me also, dresses are my favorite go to for work when I want to feel pretty. I also love riding our Harley Davidson Motorcycle with my husband, there is nothing like feeling the wind on your face and the rumble of a bike, it makes me feel rebellious and dangerous. My home is also important to me, keeping it clean, taking care of myself and family, I love being a home body at times, it helps me to recharge my battery and get back out in the world feeling refreshed. I don't think you can put a label on me nor should anyone. It's so important to be you, and be proud of who you are. And know that you are a combination of many amazing things. I have been labeled by many. I've been called shy, stuck up, thinking I'm better than others, high maintenance, loving, caring, motherly, fun, social butterfly, outgoing. Some of these labels are true and some don't fit at all. But I have learned that the bad ones don't matter, they don't define me, nothing defines me because I am so much and always changing. Everyday is different, tomorrow I might have an important meeting and wear a suit, and the next day go camping in a t-shirt and yoga pants. Both these are me, and both are wonderful. Never be afraid to be the real you, because when you are your true self you find people who you have things in common with or people you admire and want to be more like. Being fake isn't fun, and it seems like a lot of work. Be YOU and no one else, but don't be afraid if you want to change who you are. Life events, fun experiences, challenges, people, all have influences on us, and help shape us into amazing beautiful unique individuals. I love who I am, and always want to help others love who they are.

I should probably get back to my house cleaning, but wanted to share my thoughts today.

Much Love!

Nicole
